Internal Youth Cultural Grants The Youth Cultural Grants and Scholarship Committee may award financial grants to eligible children/grandchildren of members of the Liederkranz to help further German cultural interests in music, song, dance, language, customs, culture and education. Eligible youth are under the age of twenty-three (23) and enrolled in a fulltime educational program. Grant applications are considered by the committee at quarterly meetings.
Examples are such as, financial aid for travel expenses to Germany with an accredited program, German cultural learning experiences and furthering higher education, or expenses incurred in purchasing tracht for dancing, etc.

Lancaster Liederkranz College Scholarships
Available to Club Children and Community Children
- The Liederkranz offers German language college scholarships to all local area high school seniors who may not be affiliated with the Liederkranz. Students should see their high school language department head for information.
- The Liederkranz offers German language college scholarships or German cultural college scholarships to high school seniors who are affiliated with the Liederkranz as children or grandchildren of Liederkranz members.
Application and interview are required.

2026 Scholarship Awards The Lancaster Liederkranz granted a total of $5,000 in German Language and German Cultural Scholarships.
Scholarships are made possible by Liederkranz Youth Cultural Grant and Scholarship Committee fundraisers and donations by the Club's Small Games of Chance proceeds.
Liederkranz Memorial Scholarships
The Committee has named three German Language scholarships in honor of these late Liederkranz member teachers who perpetuated the Club's mission of preserving German culture by offering German language classes to Club members:Helga Barisits, Monica Fasnacht, and Milan Kratzer. On occasion, and when appropriate, awards are issued in memory of these former Club members.
2026 $1,000 German Language and German Cultural Scholarship Recipients.
Three member children/grandchildren were awarded scholarships:
- Hannah Greer, granddaughter of Club member, Kim (Dave) Reinfried, was awarded a German Cultural Scholarship.
- Olivia Waltz, granddaughter of Club member Connie (Barry) Waltz, was awarded a German Cultural Scholarship.
- Brody Tempalski, son of Club member Patricia Tempalski, was awarded a German Language Scholarship.
Two additional students from surrounding area high schools were awarded German Language Scholarships: Evan Hasler and Hayden Nagy.
